Wills

Making a Will involves two appointments -

• One to give us your instructions
• One (usually a week later) to sign your Will

Making your Will, and the fee for this, covers -

1. Taking instructions
2. Advice on Executors, Trustees and Guardians, and the roles they play. Advice on your obligations under the Succession Act 1965 (the law covering estates in Ireland). Advice on taxation issues that may arise. Other Related issues.
3. Preparing your Draft Will
4. Going through your draft will and making any changes that may be necessary.
5. Preparing your Will in final format.
6. Proper Execution (Signing) of your Will.
7. Storage of your Will in our fireproof safes.
8. Retaining a copy of your Will and your Will file permanently.

Probate or Administration

We look after all aspects of Probate (when a person dies having made a Will) and Administration (when a person dies without a Will). It can be a difficult and sometimes complex time for you. You may be appointed Executor and may need assistance with this.

We deal with the estate of the deceased person from your first visit to us, to distribution of the assets.

We advise you on the rights of the persons entitled, on the tax (if any) due.

We prepare the papers for lodgement with Revenue and the Probate Office.

We obtain the Grant of Probate or Administration for you. We gather in the assets and distribute them in accordance with the terms of the Will, or in accordance with the Law if there is no Will.

We then account to you in full for the estate.
